Installation
Installing GPass is straight forward. The installer simply unpacks several files in a folder, adds an item to your Program Menu, and optionally creates a shortcut icon on your desktop. Just follow the default installation steps and it will work. To uninstall it, just run the GPass uninstaller.
Actually you do not even have to install GPass in order to use it. Simply copy the files in the GPass program folder (C:\Program Files\GPass by default) to another computer in any folder, or unzip the downloaded zip file in any folder, and double click GPass.exe to run it. You can even carry GPass anywhere with you in a USB flash disk or pocket size CD this way.
Warning: if your GPass software is not directly downloaded from the GPass official website (www.gpass1.com), you should check its integrity before using it. Never trust files sent to you via email or downloaded from other websites without checking their integrity. See detailed instructions here: Integrity Check.
You can start GPass just like starting any normal Windows application, from the Program menu, or by double clicking its icon. Now you should see the GPass main window on your desktop, and the GPass tray icon on your task bar (besides the Windows clock).
Upgrade
When there is a new version of GPass available, GPass will pop up a window displaying "A new version of GPass is available. Would you like to upgrade?" If you click Yes, you will be directed to download the upgrade.
After you download the upgrade, check its integrity, and proceed to install it. (You do not need to uninstall the old version unless instructed otherwise.) If you are currently running GPass, a window will pop up warning you that "GPass is about to be installed/upgraded. GPass will terminate all applications started from GPass." If you do not wish to stop GPass at this time, click Cancel, and do the upgrade installation later. If the installation fails because some file cannot be overwritten, try again after closing all applications or rebooting your computer.
