Tunnels Options

GPass wraps the network traffic of your Internet applications in various formats and tunnels the wrapped packets through various dynamic channels to its servers.

GPass supports a number of different types of dynamic channels, which greatly enhance the software's ability to defeat Internet censorship. If one type of channel is blocked, you can simply try another. The native GPass channels are the safest and fastest. If you have Skype or Tor installed, or if you know unblocked Socks servers, GPass can use them as dynamic channels as well.

Skype and Tor are not part of GPass. You must download and install them first before you are able to use them in GPass. Warning: for your safety, please always download Skype and Tor from their official websites (http://skype.com and http://torproject.org), and do not trust other download websites that offer them.

Except for the Socks Direct channel, GPass adds encryption and compression to the network traffic to protect your privacy and speed up your online transactions. These are represented by the green curves in the illustration below.

The Tunnels tab lets you select a tunnel type for GPass to use. If you received a GPass server address via IM or email, you can also enter it here.
