Changing Network Rules

The network rule for an application can be changed in the following three ways:

  1. The Network Control page lists all the applications running through GPass. Clicking on the icon of an application brings up a dialog box to set the network rule for that application.

  2. Right click on an application in the application list to bring up the context menu below. From there, you can choose a network rule to start the application. When you double click an application in the Application List to start it instead of using right click, the "Via GPass" rule is used.

  3. The network rule for an application can be changed via the GPass universal add-on menu in that application. This menu has a shortcut key sequence Alt-Space then G.

Note: To change the network rule of an application, you should wait for all network activities in that application to stop first (e.g., all downloads to finish in a web browser). Otherwise, the new rule will not take effect immediately.
